21-12-2012: Are You Ready?

in our hands

It wasn’t raining when they built Noah’s Ark. Here are some ideas and information to help you decide what might happen and what to do about it.

Survival Kit

These lists will provide a family of four a good start.

FLOOD/MEGATSUNAMI SURVIVAL

  • Light-weight helmet,

  • Use wire rope to tether things together, and a knife/cutters to sever the rope in case of emergency: only tether to buoyant objects!

FOR POST-DISASTER TIME

You could put the following items underground in an air-tight container (tethered to shelter)- or in an aluminium trash can (if you can seal the lid) which will act as a Faraday cage for any electronic items inside (see below).

  • 1 Tube Tent
  • 50 Water Purification Tablets - to purify unsanitary water.
  • 1 Life Straw - straw with water filter built in.
  • 1 Roll of Duct Tape - great for various applications!
  • 1 Plastic Sheeting - shelter-in-place for protection from contaminants.
  • 1 Nylon Cord - 50 feet of heavy duty nylon rope.
  • Ponchos with Hoods-(don't be caught out in the rain without shelter).
  • 4 Dust Masks - prevents dust and germ inhalation.
  • 1 Pair Work Gloves - heavy duty with leather palm.
  • 1 Pair Vinyl Gloves - protects hands from infection.
  • 1 Multi-function Swiss Army Knife.
  • 1 quality fixed-blade survival knife.
  • Tool kit (incl folding saw & spade).
  • Compact fishing kit.
  • First-Aid Kit - comprehensive first-aid kit in plastic case.
  • 1 Box Wind- & Water-proof Matches - 50 matches; light after getting wet!
  • 1 Flint & Striker - or magnesium fire starter.
  • 1 Compass & maps
  • 1 Safety Whistle - blow loud for immediate rescue attention!
  • Seeds, compost etc
  • 1 flashdrive and laptop in a Faraday cage*.

*A Faraday cage can be built by using two cardboard boxes: one should fit tightly inside the other, and the item to be covered should itself fit reasonably well inside the smaller box. The outer box is then covered with thick aluminum foil, copper or brass mesh or Mylar. A grounding wire (green stranded 14AWG) is then taped to the foil which can then be covered with black 6 mil plastic, taped securely in place, to protect the foil from ripping. At the end of the ground wire attach a small alligator clip. The item to be protected is placed inside the inner box, which acts as insulation from the outer box, and any EMP hitting the foil is bled away by the ground wire. Or you can buy one from www.faradaybag.com. Before putting the laptop in the “cage”, backup main files on large flashdrive, remove the battery and press the power button for over 30 seconds to drain the capacitors. Note that the more you store in your shelter, the less air you have to breathe. See if you can put all “post-disaster” kit in a sturdy air- & water-tight container tethered to your shelter roof and preferably buried next to it.

Survival Spot

Important selection criteria for your survival spot are:

  • Distance from nuclear power plants (min 1000 km)
  • Height of site above the current sea level (min 400m)
  • Proximity of a (renewable) water source (not piped)
  • Distance from other survivors and their probable stability
  • Availability of direct food
  • Availability of wood
  • Availability of other resources needed for construction (sandstone etc)
  • Local climate & proximity to the equator (as close as possible)
  • Distance from tectonic borders (min 500km)
  • Distance from volcanoes (min 300-500km)
  • Terrain an eventual tidal wave of 400m height will have to breach before it gets to you

Stay away from any quake hazard, cities, industrial factories, low land, estuaries and coastlines. Most would build underground shelters on high land to withstand the risks they envisage. If you need any ideas, just contact us.

Prophecies

Muslims from Africa invade/attack France & Italy. Pope Benedict XVI will be followed by Peter the Roman by 2012. Shortly after he will be forced to leave Rome by Muslims who will attack Rome and kill many priests. Peter is the last Pope and The Vatican will not exist thereafter.

During the new Moon of December 13, 2012, we will see a bright comet. Both objects will lie close to our Sun during its eclipse of the galactic centre on December 21-23 (which is indicated by a Mayan spiral symbol called "Hunab Ku").

In summary, many are lead to think that something important may happen one week before the Mayan Long Count calendar ends on December 21-23, 2012. At the very least, we should see a bright comet next to a new Moon. We might even see curved lines or "rays" emerging from the galactic center (also shown at West Overton crop circle).

Earth Changes

Our galaxy has a centre which all the stars take millions of years to revolve around, and it is located in the starriest part of the Milky Way, as seen from Earth. On four occasions within the 25,800-year cycle our galactic centre aligns with the sunrise of a solstice or equinox. The last time it occurred was on a fall equinox 6,450 years ago, approximately the dawn of Old World civilisations. On Dec 21, 2012, which is a winter solstice (Northern Hemisphere) this centre will align with our sun once more.

We are in the middle of a deadly 11,500 year cycle when the ice age comes back. The start of the cycle is marked with a Polar reversal, super volcanic activities, massive earthquakes, Tsunamis and nasty hurricanes. 11, 500 years back, the last ice age happened and what we have started experiencing – all happened. In the last one year the earth experienced the largest three earthquakes in the last two hundred years. The underwater volcanoes and earthquakes have gone up 88% over the last three years. The continental earthquakes have gone up by 62% during the same time frame. The rate of increase of these earthquakes and volcanoes when drawn against time is staggering. We are experiencing hurricanes and storms like never seen before in recorded history. The intensity of these storms in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans are increasing exponentially.

What Do I Do Next?

Many will just deny it and end up unprepared and scared. Others will just resign themselves to their fate and have a 1,000-day party! Whilst some will lobby media and MPs to pressure the Government to make firm statements denying any disasters (if they dare!) Instead, why not work out what dangers you might encounter and devise an action plan to overcome them. The future favours the prepared.
